There are many sports celebrities, enjoying popularity by the crowd, but are limited to western sports like golf, soccer, or baseball. They are indeed great players so such popularity and respect are rightly earned, but I've come to think we need such a celebrity from traditional sports.

Champions from Japan's Sumo or Thailand's Muay Thai are treated as a national hero by their people. And I look forward that one day great Taekyun kkuns from our traditional sport Kyulyun Taekyun are loved by our people.

This does not only mean the development and extension of Kyulyun Taekyun but the retrieval of our pride and the green light to the development of our culture.

With hope and strong belief, that in the near future, the result of Kyulyun Taekyun match will be at the center of the sports news and a Taekyun kkun who brings the victory to the team at the end by turning the game around will become the hero of our people, I will do my best for the development of our martial arts and our culture.
